I am so very pleased to announce that Creative Cakes by Kaz has achieved a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating from the South Oxfordshire Food Standard Agency!
So what does this mean?
Now, while cake baking and decorating is pretty low when it comes to risk, it is still really important to know what food safety is and ensure I'm doing everything I can to keep your bakes, cakes and makes to the highest standard. So, by completing my Food Safety course Level 2 and having an inspection from my local authority I can prove my standards are excellent!
Being registered with my local council's Environmental Heath Officer they attend my premises to perform an inspection based upon the perceived risk of the food I am producing.
My responsibilities are to make sure the food i cook is safe for my clients, how hygienically the food is handled, the condition of the structure of the building– the cleanliness, layout, lighting, ventilation and other facilities and how the business manages and records what it does to make sure food is safe.
